Tonight Bernie Sanders left the NH primary with a solid victory and a sad thank you and goodbye that reminded me of his own critique of Obama’s 2008 campaign.
What he should have ended on was:
So New Hampshire, thank you again; now it’s on to Nevada and South Carolina and beyond, but it is not over in New Hampshire. Thousands of you volunteered and worked hard to make this happen and a record number turned out to vote. That organization and that level of participation will remain to elect social democrats to congress, to your state house, to your town councils, and to keep them accountable. That is how we will wrest our government from the control of moneyed interests. That is our political revolution.
